		     WELCOME TO CHESS LADDER V2.0
		     ============================

		North Penn Chess Club presents Chess Ladder v2.0
	for Windows 3.x, an easy to use ladder program for your
	chess club. All income is donated to the North Penn Chess
	Club to promote it's chess activities.

		The North Penn Chess Club hosts an annual Fall Open
	that attracts many strong players (I. Ivanov, J. Donaldson,
	I. Khmelnitsky, G. Shadade, J. Shadade, B. Baczynskyj, 
	T. Lunna and others). The club plays weekly tournament 
	games and events on weekends once a month. Many players 
	come from Philadelphia, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey.

		Member John Hathaway, is the 1995 PA State Champion
	and Robert Hux a top Postal player plays in many club events.
	If you are in the area stop in at the club and join us.

		To install, run install.exe and read all of the
	helpfiles and documentation. If you need help, start with
	email to the address below.

		Please read the helpfile for information about the
	Chess Ladder software. It is an on-line manual. You may 
	print out pages that interest you.

		A new feature has been added to allow the use of
	LONG and SHORT menus. This will allow easy use for new users
	and full options for expert users. Using this feature will
	close all children windows clearing the desktop for a fresh
	start. You can now find a list of open windows at the bottom 
	of the "File" menu.

		A new Helpfile an Users Manual will be available for 
	download in a couple of months.

		Please read "order.txt" for information on registering
	Chess Ladder on Compuserve or Public Software Library(Credit Card
	orders). Please use the order numbers when contacting Compuserve 
	or PsL.
